Gypsum work is the most visible test of a contractor's discipline. A ceiling that is a few millimeters out of level, a shadow gap that wanders, or a joint that was taped without being properly filled will be obvious to everyone who walks into the room, for as long as the ceiling exists. Our seven-stage method
Access Panel Installation follows the same documented process as every job in our false ceiling and gypsum works division.
Design consultation and measurement
We measure the space, discuss the ceiling or partition design, and identify every service that has to be accommodated: ducts, sprinklers, lighting, speakers, detectors and access requirements.
Drawing, specification and fixed quotation
You receive a layout, a board and framing specification and a fixed price. Where lighting positions matter, we agree them on the drawing before fabrication rather than on site afterwards.
Protection and set-out
Floors and contents are protected, and the frame is set out with a laser level. Datum lines are marked on every wall so the finished level is verifiable, not approximate.
Framing and service coordination
Galvanized channel framing is installed at correct centers with proper hangers and anchors. Services are routed and supported inside the void, and access panels are positioned where they will actually be needed.
Boarding
Gypsum board is fixed with the correct screw spacing and pattern, using moisture-resistant or fire-rated board where the location requires it. Joints are staggered and cut edges are prepared for taping.
Jointing, filling and finishing
Joints are taped and filled in successive coats with proper drying time between them, then sanded to a level finish. Corners, coves and shadow gaps are formed with beads for a crisp, permanent line.
Priming, painting and handover
The ceiling is primed and painted, lighting is fitted and tested, the area is cleaned and we inspect the finish with you under the room's actual lighting conditions.
