Every painting and decorating job follows the same documented seven-stage method, whether it is a single call-out or a full building program.
We measure the areas, assess the existing substrate and discuss color, sheen level and paint system. Sample patches can be applied so you see the color in your own light before committing.
The quotation sets out the preparation, the number of coats, the exact products and the areas covered. Everything is fixed in advance, including making good existing defects.
Furniture is moved and sheeted, floors are covered edge to edge, sockets and switches are masked, and joinery, glazing and ironmongery are protected before any preparation begins.
Walls are washed down, cracks are raked out and filled, patches are sanded flush, loose material is removed and defective plaster is cut out and made good. This is the stage that decides how the finish will look in two years.
The correct primer or sealer is applied for each substrate: new plaster, previously painted surfaces, timber, metal and wet areas all take different systems. Stains are blocked so they cannot bleed through.

Yes, in most cases. We work room by room, contain dust, and can use low-odor, low-VOC paints so occupied rooms remain comfortable. For a full property repaint, vacating for a few days will always produce a faster and cleaner result.
