We inspect tank location, access route and capacity, arrange safe access equipment where the tank is at height, and plan the supply isolation so disruption is kept to a short, agreed window.
The tank is drained down and the accumulated sludge and sediment at the base is removed physically. This is the material that no amount of chemical treatment alone will address.
Walls, base, corners and internal baffles are scrubbed with dedicated tank-cleaning equipment to break down biofilm from the surfaces it has bonded to.
The entire interior is pressure-washed and the residue is extracted, leaving surfaces genuinely clean rather than smeared. The tank is inspected under light at this stage.
A food-grade chlorine-based disinfectant is applied at the correct concentration and given the required contact time, then thoroughly rinsed so no chemical taste or residue is carried into the supply.
Lid seals, vent screens, overflow arrangements, inlet valves and float mechanisms are inspected and reported. Any crack, leak or failed component is photographed and quoted separately.
