The two are priced very differently and sold under similar names, which is why customers are so often disappointed. A regular clean maintains the surfaces you look at. A deep clean resets the property, including everything furniture normally hides and everything above eye level.
The clearest way to explain the difference is time. A regular clean of a two-bedroom apartment is two to three hours for one cleaner. A deep clean of the same apartment is four to six hours for a small team.

The answers separate a professional operation from a group of people with mops very quickly. Natural stone and lacquered surfaces in particular are permanently damaged by the wrong chemistry, and it cannot be undone.
Deep cleaning does not fix limescale-etched glass, worn or unsealed grout, damaged stone, or a persistent smell whose source is inside the ductwork or upholstery. Those need grout restoration, stone polishing, duct cleaning or upholstery treatment respectively.

A one-bedroom apartment is typically four to six hours with a small team. A four-bedroom villa is usually a full day with a larger team. Properties out of construction or long vacancy take longer, and we say so before booking.
