Marble, travertine and limestone are soft, porous and chemically reactive. What people describe as dirty or dull marble is almost always microscopic surface damage: thousands of fine scratches from foot grit, plus etching where something acidic was spilled and the stone reacted.
That distinction is good news, because damage of that kind can be ground away and the surface re-formed. No amount of cleaning achieves it, and no amount of polish sprayed onto a damaged surface will hold.
A genuine diamond process is a wet process. It produces slurry, it takes time, and it is done in stages. Roughly 60 to 100 square meters per day is a realistic output depending on the condition of the stone.
